Bottomless Lakes State Park, Midway, NM

To see the beauty of New Mexico, Bottomless Lakes State Park was recommended to me.

The drive itself was pretty scenic with long, flat roads where you could see for miles.

Near the park the roads became winding.

I made it into the park and found the self-pay station where a mere five bucks got me entry for the day.

I took a walk over to check out some of the scenery nearby. The color of the rocks and water reflecting made for a beautiful scene.

I got in the car and drove around a little bit. There was a sign about fire restrictions. Hopefully, the rain quelled any concerns about fire.

I went down a little driveway to where a picnic area was. This was a really scenic spot to have a picnic!

With a little more exploring, I found a map of places to hike. If it weren’t raining on and off, I may have gone down a trail.

I drove over to the swimming area. The buildings were made of rock and looked pretty cool.

The swimming area was peaceful and there were a lot of picnic tables available.

Bottomless Lakes State Park was a really scenic place to hang out and I’m glad I dropped by. Maybe next time, I can camp there.
