Filling Up Metric

One thing to get used to in Canada is the metric system. The US is the only Western Country that still uses the Imperial System of Measurements. When you get outside the United States, it is literally a whole different language of measurement. This includes getting gas. Gas is sold by the liter. As you can see it is $1.249 per liter. You need to multiply this by 3.78 to get the price per gallon. That means in Canada, they are paying $4.72 a gallon! That makes US prices look very cheap!

Now trying to figure out gas mileage does get to be a bit of a challenge since you have to do a little math. I guess that’s where you can put your grade school math that you learned to use.
