What do you get when you have part coffee shop, part museum, part record store, and 100% rock n’ roll? You get Classic Rock Coffee. This place was recommended by Victoria’s grandparents and they absolutely loved their visit here. When we were in the area, we decided to drop by and check it out.
The first thing you notice is the murals on the side of the building. They are great pieces of art that pay homage to some of the past music legends!
After admiring the cool murals, we walked inside.
I was a bit like a kid in a candy store. The place was insanely cool, so I just started looking around.
I went up and ordered. I just wanted some plain coffee. I saw my choices were Breakfast in America and Living After Midnight. While I do like Supertramp, I had to side with the harder rocking Judas Priest (which I saw at RockUSA btw). I got the Living After Midnight coffee.
I took my coffee and walked around a bit more. I checked out the record store portion of it and all the other cool things on the wall. We ran into the owner, who is also the mayor of Navasota. It was definitely cool talking to him.
My mind was cranked to 11 with rock n’ roll atmosphere. I decided to take it a bit slower and play a game of checkers with Victoria.
I checked the wifi and it was screaming, just like the music playing.
I enjoyed my coffee as we enjoyed a game of checkers and I let my phone sync. Soon it was time to go and discover more of Navasota.
I can definitely say this is the coolest coffee shop I’ve been to. If you’ve read my blog for any amount of time, you know of all the music festivals I attend. I love classic rock and this place was right up my alley!
