Pat’s Foods, Hancock, MI

On my trips to Copper Harbor, Pat’s Foods in Hancock has been a regular stop of mine. This was before I got big on hitting up grocery stores for local products. The funny thing is I always stop for something unique in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; pasties. I also wash them down with a quart of milk. Yes, an actual quart. It’s the only place I’ve seen a quart jug. Pat’s Foods is like any small town grocery store. They appear to have everything you need, including liquor. It’s all wrapped up in a small building and some of the signage looks like it’s been there a while. I love hitting up these smaller stores in more rural areas and Pat’s is always a regular stop. The view is also great to sit and eat a pasty in the parking lot.
